Review Comica CVM-WM300 Wireless Dual Lapel Mic System

January 14, 2018

I am not a fan of using wireless lapel mics, and in fact, despise them. They cut out, they are noisy, they suffer from interference, and so on.

Yes, I do use them, as they are needed in many situations, but if I had a choice from a sound quality perspective, I'd take a shotgun mic any day over a lapel mic, at least for my YouTube videos.

My skepticism at receiving these wireless lapel mics from Comica was great.  I had no idea who this company was, and they looked like another company putting products on Amazon who needed someone to promote their products so they could make sales and make some side money (I get something like 10-20 requests like this A WEEK).

Realize I went into reviewing this reluctantly, so I WAS LOOKING FOR THINGS WRONG. Always a bad operating basis when doing anything.

I was wrong on ALL counts.

From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed with everything this system had to offer - a solid waterproof case, metal build, EVERYTHING you would need to record lapel mic audio, TWO transmitters, lapel mics, muff covers, cold shoe mounts, metal clamps, beautiful menu system that you can actually read, a simple START button that syncs up in seconds with no issues - I could go on and on, but seeing how I started with, "Great, another wireless lapel system," and ended up with a total "WOW!" - well, you get it.

I was still traveling down the road of, "Sure, but DO THEY WORK?"

I was wrong on ALL counts - they most certainly do work and work better than any other wireless lapel mic system I've used.

I think these are deserving a look from anyone who wishes to invest in a wireless lapel mic system.

You can watch the video and see all the details, and out of ALL the video reviews I've done - there are maybe 3 companies that I trust to make quality long-lasting products THAT WORK.

I've just added Comica to that short list.

My Best,
